The six categories
Twenty-five checks produce one number between 0 and 100. Each category has a fixed maximum; the sum is the score. A missing signal does not earn half credit — otherwise a page that does nothing right would still have a high floor.
- Direct answersmax 25
- Is the answer in the first paragraph, are there FAQ blocks and comparison tables? AI systems lift passages that stand on their own.
- Structuremax 20
- Exactly one H1, a sensible H2 outline, lists, enough depth. Nothing delimited means nothing citable.
- Schema markupmax 15
- Valid JSON-LD at page and content level. The most direct way to tell a machine what this is about.
- Evidence in contentmax 15
- Numbers, sources, dates. A claim without evidence gets picked up less often than one with.
- Multimediamax 5
- Images and media with descriptive context.
- System readinessmax 20
- Reachability, HTTPS, response time, noindex, AI crawlers in robots.txt, canonical, title, description, viewport, llms.txt — and whether the content is in the HTML without JavaScript.
Why the extension sees more
The check on this website fetches your page from the outside. The browser extension reads it inside the tab, so it can also check pages behind a login, on staging, or on localhost that nobody can reach from outside. Response time comes from your real connection instead of a data centre.
Both run the same code, which is why the website and the extension produce the same number for the same page.
